After a series of metal sculptures, I wanted to make something more
colorful. This four-inch diameter nylon sculpture is made by solid
freeform fabrication. I colored the nylon to be yellow on the exterior
and pink inside. Below is a computer-generated model, which may help
clarify its form.
The form is derived by central inversion (reciprocation in a sphere)
from Twisted
Rivers Knoted Sea. This sculpture is part of the ARPAM art
exhibit, currently traveling through various cities in Europe.
